Cart upsell

The cart upsell is the widest-reach offer you can run: every shopper who opens a cart sees it. It suggests products drawn from your live ranking, skipping anything already in the basket and anything out of stock.

Choose what it suggests

Rank by picks the signal — sales velocity, revenue, margin, conversion rate, trending, and the rest of the same list your collections use — and Sales window sets how far back to measure. Short windows chase trends; longer ones are steadier on a low-volume store.

Switch Mode to Manual to hand-pick products instead. A manual list shows exactly what you chose, in your order, and is deliberately not topped up from the ranker: you picked a list, so a short list stays short.

Choose where it appears

The cart drawer and the cart page are configured separately, because they’re different amounts of space. For each one you set:

• On / off — run it in the drawer only, the page only, or both.
• Position — before or after the cart contents, and which element to anchor to.
• Card style — App cards (QSortby’s own styling, works everywhere) or Theme cards (renders through one of your theme’s own product snippets so it inherits your design).
• Layout — grid or slider, and how many cards across on desktop and mobile.

How many controls the number of suggestions. Fewer is usually better in a drawer.

Excluded products

Products you’ve excluded in Settings never appear in any upsell, even if you hand-pick them in manual mode. That list is the single place to keep something out of every surface at once.

Running more than one

A second cart upsell is how you run a different offer in the drawer than on the cart page, or a different offer for carts over a certain value. When several are switched on, QSortby walks them in priority order and serves the first whose display rules match the cart as it stands. An upsell with no rules attached matches every cart.
