Plan limits — what each tier actually caps
The enforced numbers behind the four plans: managed collections, monthly orders, the ranking-window floor, personalize rules and how many of each upsell you can run.
Most of this guide describes what a feature does. This page is the other half: the numbers the app enforces, so that when something says Over plan limit you can see why without opening a support ticket.
Every figure here is the app’s own default for that plan. Prices live on the pricing page and in the Shopify App Store listing — deliberately not here, so there is only ever one place to change them.

The three that surprise people
The ranking-window floor on Free. Free pins the shortest window to 7 days. It is a floor, not a fixed setting — a Free store can rank on the last 30 days or the last year, it just cannot pick “last 24 hours”. The reason is statistical rather than commercial: at Free’s order volume a one-day window is mostly noise, and a collection that reshuffles daily on two orders looks broken. Every paid tier removes the floor, down to a 1-hour window. See Window and schedule.
Orders per month is a nudge, not a wall. Cross 200 on Free (or 2,000 on Starter) and ranking keeps running exactly as before. You will see an upgrade prompt in the dashboard; nothing on your storefront changes and no collection stops syncing. QSortby does not break a live storefront to sell a plan.
A/B testing is on every plan, with no cap on how many run at once. Including Free. If you have read otherwise anywhere, that source is out of date — experiments carry no per-plan limit in the app.
What happens when you hit a cap
Nothing is deleted, and nothing is hidden. The pattern is the same everywhere in the app:
- Collections beyond the cap stay in your list and stop syncing. Delete or pause one and the next resumes on its normal schedule.
- Upsell widgets beyond the cap stay configured and stop rendering, marked Over plan limit. Where a type is capped by count, the ones highest in your priority order are the ones that keep serving — so the order you set decides what survives a downgrade. See Upsell offers.
- Display rules already attached to an offer keep being evaluated. You just cannot create a new one or attach one that is not already attached; QSortby would rather leave a gate in place than quietly widen who sees an offer.
- Pages for a tier you are not on — Analytics, Insights — stay in the menu and show what the tier would add rather than disappearing.
Re-subscribing restores everything exactly as it was.
Before you pick a tier
Every new install runs on the Growth feature set for its first 10 days, so you can measure the surfaces rather than read about them. Your first 10 days explains what changes on day 11 — and suggests deciding from your own attribution numbers around day seven, which beats choosing from any feature table, this one included.
